We stayed at Weybourne Hall Park in Norfolk in a pet friendly bungalow,it was a wonderful experience, the pub shop and beach all within walking distance.I would highly recommend.
We (2 people, 3 dalmatians and 1 IRWS) recently rented a holiday cottage through 'East Ruston Cottages', based in Norfolk. The accommodation was lovely, the enclosed garden was dog-safe, and there were plenty of dog-friendly pubs and cafes nearby. The beaches were fantastic for the dogs to run off lead and we all had a great holiday.
The cottage (Badger's Retreat) was clean, warm, comfortable and homely; there were fresh flowers and home-made cake, along with eggs and milk, to welcome us, and treats for the dogs. Throws were provided for the furniture (although we'd brought our own) and as well as TV and free WiFi there was a good selection of books, games and DVDs for wet-day entertainment. Very highly recommended! In a county where dogs are better catered for than their owners, Keymer Cottage on the North Norfolk coast is a haven for both. The dogs get their own room with sofa and a lookout window to the sea along with a fantastic garden, stocked with multiple fruit trees. The humans have a choice of 3 bedrooms, a well equipped living area, that wonderful fully enclosed garden (if the dogs will share it with you) with barbecue and furniture to take advantage of the clean unpolluted air day and night - the stars on a clear night are mesmerising! There are multiple walks both coastal and inland directly from the front door, which sees you directly onto the coast road, salt marshes and then the beach/sea. If you want to go further afield there are so many choices along this stretch of coast. However, you could quite happily spend days at a time not leaving this lovely cottage - the views of the church, sea and many many birds who make the marshes their home are a joy in themselves. Within a quick walk are a local store/newsagent, Cookies Crab Shack and a fantastic local pub the Dun Cow serving delicious meals from mostly local produce (including the beef, which grazes on the salt marsh opposite). We have stayed at Keymer Cottage 6 times in the last couple of years and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else but here - and neither would Morph, Izzie and Phoebe our four legged holiday companions each time! If you are looking for a dog friendly base from which to explore this wonderful part of the world from, Keymer Cottage would be hard to beat.
Second visit to Hidden Gem cottage...it does what it says on the tin ...it is proper dog friendly ... a holiday for dogs . A top class cottage with all facilities in the best location . Out of the door and on to the beach . East Ruston Cottages in Norfolk go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that your holiday is full of fabulous memories . I can’t stop coming back ...we are booked for our third time in April .
Not seen anyone else yet who does dog friendly like ERC . Sitting right on South Beach, Heacham is Brincliffe Beach House. On entering the house, we were pleasantly surprised by how homely it appeared. We were welcomed with Tea, Coffee, Bread, Cake, Biscuits, a bottle of wine in the fridge, a bag of dog biscuits for our French Bulldog Polly and a huge bowl of fresh water waiting for her. I just love places where they welcome your dog along as much as they welcome you.
The house has three bedrooms. One with a double bed and two with singles. The double bed is slightly on the small side, lucky enough there were three of us so we all took a bedroom each. The house has everything you need, even providing a BBQ and different size dog crates stored in the Garage. It has an enclosed garden which backs right on to the sand dunes. The garden was brilliant for Polly as she could come in and out when she pleased. She loved the garden and we would often find her sprawled out relaxing with not a care in the world. Go out the garden gate and the path leads up and over the sand dune onto South Beach. I love this beach. Whatever time of day you venture up, you will see dog walkers along the beach, although you would be lucky to see more than 6 people at one time. It is so peaceful, and you can walk for miles. It is a pebble beach, which is heaven to Polly, much to our dismay she loves to carry stones. JESSY DOGGY'S FAVOURITE STAY
