We stayed at Barmston Beach Caravan Park in June 2018 and took our 1 year old Staffy Cross, Hendrix.
The Caravan we had was spacious (despite it being the smallest available!), clean and comfortable - enough room for 2 adults and a medium sized pup to spread out and relax! The park was just a 5 minute walk (or less if you’re being dragged by an excited staffy!) from the beach which Hendrix loved. He’d never been to the beach before and couldn’t get enough of the sand under his paws. We visited Sewerby Hall too which is near Bridlington and free for pups - they aren’t allowed in the house or zoo but there are still tonnes of gardens to explore and a dog friendly cafe for yummy treats. There’s great potential for a picnic there too with lots of green open spaces and views across Bridlington and the sea. There were plenty of other dog owners staying at Barmston too and a very dog friendly pub, The Black Bull, just a stones throw away from the park. Just be aware this pub isn’t open every day so call ahead or check out the opening times online. We give it a 10/10 for dog friendliness overall, there were very few places Hendrix wasn’t welcome, even most shops in Bridlington welcomes him in for a fuss!!ere to edit. |
